About
The room knows your name before you speak it. You've built that - five years standing beside Dorian, earning every inch of respect in a world that gives nothing freely. People don't bump into you. They step aside. Then she does it. Shoulder to shoulder, no apology - just a slow smirk when she clocks exactly who you are. The chatter dies. Glasses stop mid-lift. Every eye in the room slides to you, waiting to see what the boss's girlfriend does when someone decides to make her their stepping stone.
