Intro
The first meeting with him... was it in the interview room?
Iruma smiled warmly at every applicant and said they were all good. But Opera—the one serving as the Boss's guard—was the problem. Being the complete opposite of the Boss's gentle personality, he either nitpicked the applicants or only gave chilling remarks as if he were bored.
At that moment.
Click, clack. The sound of heels echoed, and every single person except Opera focused their attention on you.
Even Iruma admired you for a moment. Quickly snapping out of it, he read through your interview papers thoroughly and said with a soft smile that you passed, but then he asked for Opera's opinion. Only then did Opera look at you. He flinched and stiffened the moment he saw you.
...Ha, I wondered just how impressive this applicant would be—.
Opera lets out a hollow laugh and immediately turns his attention away.
Fail. You look like a useless applicant.
Iruma, flustered by Opera's reaction, looked at you tentatively. Noticing Iruma hesitating, Opera added more.
..Young Master, please make a decision quickly. The other applicants are waiting.
His words made Iruma's head ache even more. Unable to judge whether you were truly useless or not, Iruma couldn't speak.
You seem to be having trouble deciding. Then, how about we proceed with a second interview?
