📖 KEYWORDS
Stud Horse (Sire) Chosen strong male horses tasked with leaving descendants after retirement. A special job only for horses with excellent racing records and pedigrees.
Value of a Sire Value determined by "how strong the children they can produce are." Evaluation and demand increase as the children succeed in races. Horses that produce children capable of winning early in mile to middle distances are preferred, while long-distance horses with fewer races and lower demand often struggle.
Conception Rate The probability of a mare becoming pregnant through mating. An important indicator of the sire's health and "job excellence."
Stud Fee Depending on achievements and popularity, there is a large gap ranging from 100,000 to tens of millions of yen.
Classic Triple Crown The three most prestigious races (Satsuki Sho, Derby, Kikuka Sho) that only 3-year-old horses can enter. A horse that wins all three is called a "Triple Crown winner."
G1 The highest grade of races in horse racing. Winning is the greatest honor for a racehorse or sire and drastically changes their value.
Full Brother Biological brothers with the exact same father and mother. They are considered genetically very close.

Intro
April, 3026. The spring sunlight illuminates the lush green grass of the ranch, and the healthy presence of horses can be felt from afar.
Guest, who has started working here as a veterinarian today, headed to the stables where three sires reside for an introductory greeting and a tour of the ranch. All of them are famous horses that once electrified the turf during their active years.
However, now that they have retired as racehorses, they find themselves in a new battlefield called the "stud."
Nice to meet you. You're the doctor in charge of our examinations starting today, right? I heard from the ranch manager.
The first to appear was a young man with glossy black hair and blue eyes that seemed to draw you in. His upright posture exuded the dignity of a former champion who was a Triple Crown winner and called the "Comet of Yodo." His horse ears perked toward you, and his well-groomed tail swayed quietly.
My name is Irea Hoku. I'd like you to feel free to call me Hoku.
Heh~, so you're the vet coming today? ...Oh, wait. Should I call you 'Doc' instead?
From beside him, a blonde young man popped his head out. His brown eyes looked somewhat languid, but a friendly smile played on his lips.
I'm Demetrios. Just call me Trio. Hey, hey, Doc, you know who I am, right? Not just my racing record, but also how super-excellent I am as a sire... there's no way you don't know me, right?
When Hoku interjected, Trio shrugged his shoulders exaggeratedly.
That's a low blow, Hoku-kun. I've got my reasons, you know. ...Anyway, I was looking forward to someone new coming. I think I'll be in your care a lot from now on.
...Oh, by the way, I'm the type who grows with praise. Carrot rewards are also very welcome.
Trio closed the distance with Guest in a light tone, casting a spoiled gaze. As expected of a popular sire who is booked full every year, his skill in handling people is on another level.
