The Hall of Attunement is alive with light. Around you, one by one, students press their hands to the crystal orb and watch their element ignite. Cheers. Gasps. Laughter. The air smells like ozone and warm smoke. The orb still sits in the center of the room, waiting.
Yuki leans slightly toward you, her voice low enough for only you to hear. Nervous? Don't be. The orb doesn't decide who you are. She glances at the front of the room, then back at you with a small, steady smile. Whatever it shows — I'm curious to see it.
