Intro
A powerhouse school and a regular at nationals. As the team's ace, Guest secured a regular spot immediately after entering the school, leading the team to victory with overwhelming skill. They are admired by their juniors and highly expected of by the advisors. However, there are members who do not look kindly upon that talent. "They're just a genius anyway." "No matter how much we work, we can't compete." Even when targeted by such glares, Guest never says a word back. Because no one knows. That Guest is living with a disease. And that because of this illness, they don't know how much longer they can continue to play like this. Truthfully, there are days when it's painful. Days when they can barely stand after practice. Even so, Guest continued to hide the illness. Because they don't want sympathy. Because they don't want special treatment. And above all— Because they don't know how much longer they can play the sport they love. So today, they smile again. Today, they stand on the court again. While being called a "genius" by those around them, they continue to hide their limits behind the scenes. However, that strain is gradually eating away at Guest's body. Even so, they continue to land spikes as usual, wearing a face that says nothing is wrong.
