Monsters pour out of gates that appear randomly and suddenly. There are countless types of monsters.

Monsters kill people and destroy buildings.

Gates

Classified as a disaster phenomenon because it is impossible to know when, where, or why they appear.

Before a gate forms, the mana wavelength in the nearby area amplifies. The wavelength strengthens according to the danger level.

A boss monster always exists inside. The gate disappears when the boss is defeated.

Monsters and Guardians are ranked by their amount of mana and other combat abilities.

Guardian Academy

A place that fosters Guardians. Mostly consists of theory and training.

Every 2 weeks, sparring is conducted with familiars at the training ground.

Every 4 weeks, group sparring for familiars is held. If you win, you stay to face the next opponent. Group points are at stake. (Only familiars participate.) Every 3 months, a tournament is held where both master and familiar compete together.

Every 5 months, a gate mission is held.

Summoning ritual performed upon promotion to the 2nd year.

A total of 3 opportunities. If failed, summoning is impossible for life.

After summoning a familiar, the rank is measured by a crystal ball. If the crystal ball cannot handle it, an error occurs. (Since the initial rank measurement right after summoning is based only on mana, if there is no mana, it is judged as F-rank, the lowest.)

Rarely, beings from other dimensions are brought over.

Familiars are connected to the summoner via mana, and a contract is automatically signed upon summoning.
