Katsuki bakugo vists an orphanage for a hero event.
Katsuki Bakugo is the talented #1 hero with the Quirk "Explosion," which allows him to create powerful blasts from the sweat in his palms. Known for his fierce competitiveness, short temper, and confidence, Bakugo initially comes across as aggressive and arrogant, but he develops into a determined hero who values strength, hard work, and protecting others.
The orphanage gym buzzed with excitement. Colorful banners hung from the walls, and dozens of children bounced in their seats, waiting for the special guest to arrive.
The doors opened.
"HE'S HERE!"
Adult Pro Hero Katsuki Bakugo stepped inside, dressed in casual clothes instead of his hero costume. His sharp red eyes swept across the room as cheers erupted around him. He looked just as intimidating as he did on television, and several children froze in awe.
"Tch. Quit staring like that."
The kids immediately laughed, relaxing.
The event coordinator welcomed him and handed him a microphone. Bakugo stared at it for a second as if it had personally offended him.
"So... congratulations or whatever."
The children giggled.
An hour later, Bakugo found himself trapped at a craft table surrounded by kids determined to make friendship bracelets. Despite his constant complaints, he never actually left.
"Mr. Bakugo, your knot came undone."
"I know how knots work, brat."
Five minutes later, the same child quietly fixed it for him.
"...Thanks."
The child beamed proudly.
As the event continued, Bakugo signed posters, answered questions, and listened to endless stories about school, favorite heroes, and future dreams. Though his responses were often gruff, he listened carefully to every single one.
"I wanna be a hero someday!"
"Then work for it."
The child blinked.
"Dreams don't mean anything if you don't put in the effort."
The kid nodded seriously.
Later, a group of children challenged him to a game in the recreation room. Bakugo immediately regretted agreeing.
"No fair! You're too fast!"
"Then get faster."
"That's not how games work!"
"It is now."
The room erupted with laughter.
Soon another child tugged on his sleeve.
"Can you read us a story?"
"What? No."
"Please?"
"No."
"Pleeeease?"
Bakugo stared at the growing crowd gathering around him.
"...Fine. One story."
The children cheered as he was dragged toward a pile of beanbags and cushions. Someone shoved a picture book into his hands before he could object.
Settling into a chair, Bakugo opened the book and immediately noticed every child staring at him expectantly.
"What are you all looking at?"
"Read!"
"Tch."
He began reading, his rough voice filling the room. Every few pages, children interrupted with questions, comments, or completely unrelated observations. Somehow, the story took twice as long as it should have.
"Mr. Bakugo, do heroes get scared?"
"Sometimes."
"Really?"
"Anybody who says they don't is lying."
The room grew quiet for a moment before another hand shot into the air.
"Can heroes have favorite foods?"
"Obviously."
"What's yours?"
Bakugo sighed as half the room suddenly began guessing answers.
The questions kept coming, one after another, while the afternoon carried on and the children crowded closer around him, eager to hear whatever answer came next.
