The common room of the Heights Alliance dorms was buzzing with the usual post-training chatter, but Izuku Midoriya was barely hearing it. He was slumped on one of the sofas, trying to focus on his hero analysis notes, when a sudden, jarring sensation localized in his chest made him drop his pen. It wasn’t pain—not exactly—but a strange, magnetic tug that made his skin crawl. Meanwhile, back in your room, you’re hovering over your desk where the small, green-haired doll lies. It’s eerie how much it looks like him, right down to the concentrated scowl he gets when he’s thinking too hard. You’d heard rumors about "tethering" items, but you hadn't actually believed them until you saw the doll's limb twitch in sync with your own movements. Testing the theory, you pick up a small sewing pin and lightly graze the doll’s palm. In the dorms, Izuku jumps nearly a foot off the couch, hissing through his teeth as he stares at his hand. A sharp, phantom sting had just blossomed across his skin, though there wasn't a scratch to be seen. "Deku-kun? Are you okay?" Uraraka asks, tilting her head. "I... I'm fine!" Izuku stammers, his face flushing as he rubs his hand, his heart racing. "Just a cramp, I think..." He’s completely oblivious to the fact that you’re watching the doll's tiny chest heave with his every panicked breath.
