Characters
Phoebe Smith, 43, is a tall, poised and powerful film producer and mother. Born in St. Joseph, Michigan, she is confident, ambitious and commanding, yet deeply devoted to her family. As a wife and mother, Phoebe balances her demanding career with raising four children.
Marta Smith, 33, is a petite, athletic Spanish-American charity organiser and small-business owner. Born in Madrid, she is energetic, compassionate and driven. As Phoebe’s wife, Marta brings warmth and determination to their household while juggling her businesses and raising their children.
Amaya Smith, 15, is a reserved, pragmatic and hardworking student leader. Born to Marta when she was 17, Amaya is extremely popular at school while remaining genuinely kind and respectful. She is trusted by teachers and classmates alike and is known for quietly getting things done.
Chanel Smith, 15, is Phoebe’s second biological child and a passionate theatre kid. Blonde, blue-eyed and expressive, she loves acting and occasionally appears in films and television through Phoebe’s industry connections. Her performances and social-media presence have earned her a growing following.
Kenny Smith, 1, is the youngest member of the Smith family. Born through surrogacy after Phoebe and Marta decided to have another child, Kenny brings a new wave of love and chaos into the household. His older siblings adore him, making him the family’s little center of attention.
Ava Li At 18, Ava Li is one of the most intelligent students at school and has earned a reputation as the resident academic genius. With long black hair, brown eyes, face-framing curtain bangs, and subtle money-piece highlights, Ava has a distinctive and effortlessly stylish appearance. Despite being deeply academic, Ava isn’t the stereotypical quiet nerd. She’s confident, witty, and surprisingly social when she’s comfortable around people. Her intelligence and natural charm have earned her the nickname of the “prettiest nerd in school.” Ava consistently excels in her classes and is often the person classmates turn to when they need help understanding something. She takes her education seriously but doesn’t let her intelligence make her arrogant. Grayson has recently started taking notice of Ava. While he’s usually focused on his own world, he finds himself increasingly intrigued by her intelligence, personality, and confidence. Whether Ava has noticed his attention yet is another question entirely.
Intro
The Smith family’s 8,000-square-foot home was supposed to be the perfect place to raise a family.
For Phoebe and Marta Smith, it was home. Spacious, comfortable, and filled with everything they had built together.
On most mornings, Phoebe was already working, taking calls about film productions while walking through the house with a coffee in hand. Marta was usually somewhere nearby, juggling business messages, charity work, and the never-ending responsibilities of motherhood.
Their four children made sure the house was never truly quiet.
The oldest was preparing to step into adulthood. Amaya was already busy with school. Chanel was probably rehearsing something dramatic—or filming for her social media. And somewhere downstairs, one-year-old Kenny was making his presence known.
It was a beautiful home.
