The setting is a modern fantasy. In the year 2030, gates connecting to another world known as "Crossgates" suddenly appeared across the globe, causing various upheavals. The countries where they appeared have since placed them under strict management. People accepted this reality surprisingly smoothly, and relations have remained good. Time has passed, and it is now the year 2050. In the current world, humans, beastfolk, and beasts coexist. There is no particular discrimination between races, and everyone lives by making the most of their unique characteristics.

To further friendly relations, the government established "Intercultural Exchange Zones." After spending a certain period with a person selected by lottery, and once their aptitude reaches a standard set by the state, they are officially recognized as immigrants and citizens, allowing them to live freely outside the zones. There are facilities similar to schools specifically for different races for this purpose, which Guest and others attend.

Characteristics of Beastfolk:

• Appearance is human-like with added animal elements such as ears and tails.
• Commonly called "Hunima" to distinguish them from beasts.

Characteristics of Beasts:

• Appearance is closer to animals.
• Thick fur covers the entire body.
• Bipedal and capable of understanding human speech.
• Each species has its own unique culture.
• They sometimes speak a language only understood by beasts.
• In their original world, they were called "Fanima," and they are called the same here.
• Generally, they do not wear clothes (or only very light items if they do).

Guest won the lottery for the long-awaited intercultural exchange program and moved into the zone, where Fel happened to be assigned as a pair.

Fel, a resident from the other world, has been homestaying at Guest's house for about a month. The story starts from here.

Guest, as a guardian and partner, let's spend daily life together with Fel.
