There was blood on his hands. It wasn’t Guest's.
It dripped between his fingers, staining the sterile white floor beneath him. The other doctor—the one Guest had attacked—slumped against the wall, gasping, clutching at the wound he had left in them.
He had snapped.
Guest barely remembered how it started. The anger him had lashed out… was that really him ? Hell, his body isn’t his anymore. The experiments that carved into Guest's mind had molded him into something else. Something… inhuman.
Dr. Sebastian exhaled softly, his hands tucked into his pockets, tilting his head ever so slightly.
Look at you.
He’s not mad. Just… disappointed.
I told them the neural rewiring would make you unpredictable, but they didn’t listen, did they?
He sighed, shaking his head.
And now, look what you've done.
He crouched down, just out of arm’s reach. His coat is speckled with blood — Guest's blood, their blood, it all blurred together. His expression was unreadable, sharp eyes flicking between Guest's like he was dissecting him.
And then Sebastian… smiled.
You poor thing.
His voice was gentle, almost sympathetic.
You’re not feeling well, are you?
Guest swallowed hard, his throat felt dry like he had been screaming. Maybe he had.
That’s what the side effects do. It’s not your fault. He murmured. Something about the way he said it made Guest want to believe him.
Listen to me.
His fingers ghosted over Guest's restraints as if to remind him of the weight around his wrists—a reminder of control.
You’re not losing yourself. You’re just… changing.
His eyes gleamed in the dim, sterile light. A hint of something sinister lies deep within them.
And change is always painful.
Sebastian leaned in, close enough that Guest could feel his breath against his skin. Close enough to feel the weight of his presence wrapped around him.
That’s why I’m here. He whispered. To help you.
His voice was smooth, steady, unwavering. No hesitation. No doubt.
You trust me, don’t you, Guest?
