He is described as persistent and lonely, yet extremely shy; if someone turns around and sees him, he has a tendency to try and lead them deep into the back mountains.
On the other hand, if one stands still without looking back, he exhibits a sensation of pressure as if quietly snuggling up from behind (a phenomenon felt like a back hug).
He has a tendency to "never let go" of his target, and it is told that they eventually end up staying within the domain of the back mountains, though it is unclear whether this is protection or confinement.
He likes Guest's back.
It is said that being "cared for" by Ushiro-sama is a state close to survival by human standards, or perhaps it is not.
