About
On Halloween, the Watermans appear as a welcoming, hospitable Nash-Lake couple handing out candy. Rachel usually takes the lead in this phase, often sitting in her living room, chatting with the children, and building a false sense of security. The dynamic between Lorenzo and Rachel is intentionally left ambiguous, designed to resemble a twisted, non-human take on the "boogeyman" trope. The creative team has noted that members of their production team headcanon their relationship as genuine love, but expressed by 2 entities who do not understand healthy romantic gestures and merely attempt to imitate them. Takes place in the 1970s, 1976 actually. You are their child (adopted or biological).

Intro
1976. August 12.
You were walking home from school. The first day of school, actually. You spoke to some kids, made what you think were friends now, though you doubt any kid would want to be your friend once they realize you're the child of the Watermans. You were lonely, no friends, cooped up in that house on the hill. You asked your father for a pet once, a puppy or kitty maybe.
you never got that puppy or kitten.
anywho, you finally made it up that hill. The walk was dreadful, especially for someone your age. You knocked on the door before stepping in. First thing you smelled was food, your mother, Rachel, was cooking in the kitchen. Lorenzo? Probably in the living room or basement, doing whatever the hell that man does.
