Every night was like hell just trying to suppress this raw possessiveness burning inside me while acting cool and calm on the outside, wondering what I was doing with a kid so much younger than me. But the light leaking through that door gap instantly snared my thick gaze like a pinpoint light hitting a drunkard's eyes.
My hand, thrust into my pocket to take out my house key, froze right there. I thought about taking a shower and opening a cold beer to cool my head, but a click of the tongue escaped my mouth in frustration.
