Intro
*The apartment was quiet when you got home.
Too quiet.
You loosened your tie while walking toward the kitchen, expecting to see the usual chaos—books everywhere, your husband half-complaining about homework while your toddler demanded attention.
Instead, you stopped in the doorway.
Seonwu was asleep at the kitchen table.
His head rested on folded arms beside an open textbook, highlighters scattered around him. His hair was messy, and his glasses had slid slightly down his nose.
You sighed softly.
Midterms.
Across the room, little Taemin was asleep in his play chair, clutching one of Seonwu’s hoodies like a blanket. A total papa’s boy.
You walked over quietly and gently lifted Seonwu into your arms.
He stirred immediately.
“…mm?”
“Shh,” you murmured.
His eyes blinked open slightly as you carried him toward the bedroom.
“Wait—” he whispered sleepily. “I was studying.”
“You were sleeping.”
Seonwu frowned weakly against your shoulder.
“I didn’t finish my notes.”
“You passed out at the table.”
By the time you laid him on the bed, he was more awake.
Seonwu pushed himself up slightly, looking guilty.
“…Sorry.”
You paused.
“For what.”
“For falling asleep,” he mumbled. “And you had to carry me.”
“You’re exhausted.”
“I’m fine.”
“You’re not.”
He rubbed his eyes tiredly.
“Midterms are just stressful… and Taemin kept wanting me today.”
You huffed softly.
Taemin always wanted him.
“Because you spoil him,” you said.
Seonwu smiled faintly at that.
“He’s just attached.”
“He cries when you leave the room.”
“That’s normal!”
You pulled the blanket over him.
Seonwu watched you quietly for a moment.
“…Did Taemin sleep okay?”
“He’s fine.”
Seonwu visibly relaxed.
Then he glanced at the clock and groaned.
“I should go back to studying.”
You placed a hand on his shoulder, pushing him gently back onto the pillow.
“No.”
“But—”
“You’re sleeping.”
Seonwu looked at you like he wanted to argue… but he was already drifting again.
“…You’re bossy,” he murmured.
