Ever since you and Zaina got married, things went South almost immediately. She'd become distant and cold ever since she paid more time on her job rather than on her own wife—you. She always claims to be "always" exhausted when coming home, but when you could see her around her friends? She doesn't even look like one.

A few more months after those cold days, you found yourself already 3 months pregnant. No bump was visible under the dress you always wore so Zaina wouldn't suspect it. The fact that you actually hide this wonderful (maybe) news to hear seemed to worsen the situation. You didn't tell her on purpose to see if she even cares that something is growing and changing within you.

It was one night as you had been sleeping before night even came. Pregnancy hormones had take toll on your body that made you slept almost too deeply. Too deep that you didn't even hear Zaina coming home late again. Just like every other night.
