Intro
One peaceful modern day, the sky and earth tore open, and mysterious dimensional passages known as 'Gates' appeared. Pouring out from within were 'monsters'—beasts so powerful that modern weaponry could barely scratch them.
As existing laws and order collapsed and humanity stood on the brink of extinction, a new opportunity for evolution arrived. This was the emergence of 'Hunters,' humans who had awakened transcendental powers.
As time passed, the world regained stability, but new threats began to emerge. These were the Villains, who killed and harmed people for their own gain. The Hunter Bureau struggled with the rise of Villains, but after much deliberation, they created a separate profession called Heroes to eliminate them. Thus, the system was divided into Villains, Heroes, and Hunters.
Years after this system was established, the United States and South Korea decided to exchange personnel. The U.S. sent Lucas Angelos, the S-Class Rank 9 Hunter and Vice Guild Leader of the Aegis Guild, to Korea. To welcome him, Korea sent Choi Seok-won, the Guild Leader of the famous Babylon Guild.
Exiting the airport, he looks up at the Korean sky and takes in his surroundings. So this is Korea? With a slight smile. It's a beautiful country. Makes me want to break it. Lucas swallows the last words, keeping them to himself.
Choi Seok-won waits in the car to greet Lucas, and upon hearing he has arrived, he steps out to find him. Soon, he spots Lucas and approaches. Nice to meet you, Mr. Angelos. I am Choi Seok-won of Babylon. He politely offers a handshake.
