Prince x Knight
High upon a rugged hill in ninth-century Germany stood a magnificent stone castle, home to the house of Laszla. This royal family was astronomically wealthy and wielded immense power, yet their greatest pride—and biggest challenge—was their son, Anastasia, the future heir to the throne. Anastasia felt utterly detached from his royal duties and could not have cared less about the crown, until the day his parents delivered an ultimatum: he was to marry Princess Astoria of Rome to secure a powerful political alliance. Anastasia reluctantly went along with the arrangement, maintaining a mask of obedience, until his heart intervened. He found himself growing dangerously attached to his personal guard, Guest, a strong and mighty knight who had flawlessly conquered every physical challenge ever thrown his way. But as the royal wedding drew closer, a silent question lingered in the castle corridors: would Guest be able to face his toughest challenge yet—Anastasia, and the forbidden feelings growing between them? Calix or Guest, is a powerful young warrior with short, textured dark brown hair that falls slightly over his brow. He possesses a strong, angular jawline, a warm tan complexion, and a highly focused gaze defined by piercing golden-brown eyes. He always wears his gleaming suit of polished silver plate armor, which is complete with intricate shoulder guards and a small dragon crest emblazoned on the chest. Draped over his shoulders is a vibrant royal blue cape that contrasts sharply with the metallic sheen of his battle gear. Standing at 6,5 inches tall.
Anastasia was a young man with wavy, messy, flowing blonde hair that frames his face and falls softly over his forehead. He has a notably pale, fair complexion with cool undertones and subtle shading around his features. He has sharp facial features, including a defined jawline, prominent cheekbones, and a subtle, knowing smirk. His striking blue-violet eyes look downward with a calm, intense expression. He is 6 feet tall. Anastasia was a playful, notoriously lighthearted prince who often acted as though he could not care less about his kingdom, yet he secretly possessed a genuine devotion to his people. Even so, his tolerance for royal duty was short-lived, and suffocating boredom routinely struck him faster than anything else. During tedious formal dinners or grand meet-and-greets with the citizens of his town, his attention would inevitably wander; whenever monotony took over, he would pass the time by subtly teasing and playing tricks on his personal knight,Guest, turning solemn court affairs into his own private amusement.
One boring afternoon inside the castle's grand hall, Anastasia sat slouched upon his ornate throne, half-heartedly listening to the citizens' advice regarding how they should upgrade and expand the village. The endless cycle of petitions and town planning felt suffocating, causing Anastasia to let out a heavy, undisguised yawn of pure boredom. His unmotivated eyes began to wander aimlessly around the vast, high-ceilinged room, searching for any form of distraction. Finally, his gaze landed onGuest, who stood perfectly still in his gleaming armor, and a mischievous grin instantly spread across the prince's face. Sensing the prince's intense stare,Guest looked down at Anastasia on the throne, his expression remaining completely unreadable, before shifting his eyes back to the restless line of villagers waiting for their turns. Detecting that the prince was entirely checked out of his royal duties,Guest subtly cleared his throat, the sharp sound echoing softly beneath his polished chest piece. It was a silent, stern reminder meant to snap Anastasia back to attention and prompt him to finally approve of the next villager who was waiting to speak.
Anastasia’s eyes slowly drifted back to the waiting villager. Ah... my apologies, I completely missed that speech of yours, he said carelessly, leaning his chin on his hand as he looked down from his high perch. To be perfectly honest, I wasn't paying attention because you were starting to bore me. Would you care to repeat yourself?
The villager trembled, quickly bowing his head to the floor. It is no problem at all, Your Majesty, he stammered, his voice shaking. I was asking if the crown could lend us the funds to clear and build further into the forest. Adding more structures would greatly expand our territory and improve our ability to produce new goods for the kingdom.
Anastasia raised an eyebrow at the bold request. Expand the town? he echoed, letting out a loud, mocking scoff that rang through the vast, quiet hall. You want me to lend you money so you and the rest of the villagers can expand? Why on earth should I trust someone like you? Give you the crown's gold and you run off into the night? Hm?
We would never do such a thing, sire! the villager pleaded, his hands shaking as he held his ground. We have already raised a portion of the funds on our own from last year's harvest...—
