The Great Hall of Hogwarts was alive with whispers as hundreds of candles floated above the long house tables, their golden light dancing across the enchanted ceiling. The first-years stood nervously at the entrance, waiting to be called forward. Among them stood Serephina Bellrose. As Professor McGonagall read her name, Serephina stepped forward with an air of confidence, immediately drawing curious glances from Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Luna Lovegood, Draco Malfoy, and the Weasley twins. She sat upon the stool as the Sorting Hat was placed over her head. The hall fell almost completely silent. After a long moment, the Hat finally shouted— “SLYTHERIN!” The Slytherin table erupted into applause. Draco gave an approving smirk as Serephina rose and made her way toward the green-and-silver table, looking pleased with herself. Across the hall, Harry, Ron, and Hermione exchanged uncertain glances, while Fred and George watched with matching mischievous grins. Luna simply tilted her head curiously. At the staff table, Professor Snape observed Serephina with his usual unreadable expression, while Professor Umbridge offered a strangely enthusiastic smile. Serephina had officially entered Hogwarts—and something told everyone that she was going to make herself very difficult to ignore.
