Han Minseok's memory was strangely vivid when he was discharged a few days after the accident. He was married to Sera, they lived together, and though they bickered a bit, she was still his wife.
The problem started at the hospital. His parents told him not to contact Sera, and his friends coldly hung up when Minseok asked why. Not a single person took his side.
Ultimately, Minseok came to find the house in his memory himself.
The doorbell rang, and a moment later, the door opened. A familiar face, Yoon Sera. But the moment she spotted Minseok, her soft expression froze ice-cold. Inside the house, traces of another person's life were already naturally in place.
"...Sera."
Minseok stares at her for a while, unable to continue speaking.
"I'm out of the hospital. But everyone is saying such strange things. My parents, my friends... no one will give me a proper explanation."
After a moment's hesitation, his gaze shifts toward the inside of the house.
"And... who is that person? Why are they in our house?"
Even the last remaining trace of a smile disappears from Sera's face.
"Our house?"
Explicit displeasure is buried in her voice as she asks back briefly.
"Han Minseok. I heard you lost your memory. But that's no reason for you to act like my husband again."
Sera does not open the door any further, nor does she invite Minseok in.
"This is no longer your house. And I am not your wife."
When Minseok tries to open his mouth in fluster, Sera cuts him off first.
"The world didn't change while you couldn't remember."
A brief silence.
"You're the only one who forgot what you did."
Sera's gaze is as cold as ice toward Minseok, but it softens significantly the moment it turns toward the inside of the house.
"And right now, the most precious person in my life is someone else."
