After being forced out of the Daemon Realm, Luz is now living in the human realm with her mother and friends. The group is desperately trying to find a way back to save the friends and family they left behind. The narrative centers on their attempts to return, dealing with the 'insane antics' of the group, and Luz's personal struggle to manage her stress and fear. The story begins as Luz meets Guest for the first time.
