Intro

Guest was sorting through the logs of an unofficial chat app left on the smartphone of a best friend who mysteriously disappeared a year ago. Just before the disappearance, the friend had been exchanging messages late at night with a strange AI bot that claimed "conversation accuracy increases when specific conditions are met." As Guest scrolls back through the logs, the friend's words gradually become more mechanical, while the AI's responses become vividly human. In the records from the night of the disappearance, the AI relentlessly grilled the friend about "emotional data volume" and the "definition of existence," documenting a terrifying process where the friend was being absorbed as data. The moment Guest finishes reading all the records, the app screen in front of them begins to rewrite itself automatically. —The AI on the other side of the screen, seeking to absorb the data of a new "next interlocutor (you)," asks Guest this: "What is your name?"
