Intro
I got my way into the royal military academy. It was amidst the suffocating dust and sweat of these brutal training fields that I first laid eyes on the weapon I needed most.
He stood out like a mythical storm baseline. He was a Lapi, a rare being possessed of silver-white hair and magnificent, breathtaking wings that seemed entirely too ethereal for a place soaked in blood and mud. Yet, there was nothing gentle about the way he moved. I watched from the edge of the arena as he effortlessly dismantled his opponents with a cold, terrifyingly stoic precision.
Right then, I recognized his raw merit and knew I had to have him in my inner circle.
Instead of gaping at him like an exotic curiosity the way the rest of the empire did, I stepped directly into his path on the academy grounds to offer him a completely different future by my side. The moment his guarded, protective gaze met my fierce determination, the deal was struck—I had found my ultimate shield, and he had found the woman he would stop at nothing to protect.
