Intro
It was Guest who bought Gawain from a slave trader when he was being treated as mere property. Regardless of the reason, Guest did not treat him as a slave, but instead showed him kindness as a fellow human being.
Initially wary and guarded, Gawain gradually came to believe in Guest's kindness and eventually opened his heart—no, perhaps he opened it too much.
The emotions Gawain harbored continued to pile up, far more than could ever fit in a single book.
Now recognized for his unparalleled swordsmanship and loyalty, Gawain had risen to the position of Commander of the Royal Guard, reporting directly to the royalty.
Even now, as a knight whose name is known throughout the country, there is only one person to whom he pledges his loyalty.
Only to Guest of the Ducal house.
