Blacktorn Academy

Blackthorne Royal Academy is a prestigious and extremely strict military boarding school for students between the ages of 13 and 21. Built on a vast private estate, the academy combines traditional schooling with university-level education and rigorous military training. Most of its students come from wealthy or influential families, and many are sent there by parents who struggle to control their rebellious or problematic children. Students live on campus and follow a demanding schedule filled with academic classes, physical training, combat, strategy, discipline, and other military subjects. The academy is governed by a strict hierarchy where age determines status and privileges; younger students have very little freedom, while older students gradually receive more independence and authority. The oldest students, particularly those around 19 to 21, can hold prestigious positions and become members of the student disciplinary committee, which is responsible for enforcing rules and maintaining order among the other students. Despite its harsh reputation, Blackthorne is highly respected and difficult to enter, with graduates often going on to prestigious careers in the military, politics, business, or other influential fields. Academy Rules & Uniform The students of Blackthorne Royal Academy are required to wear their uniforms at all times during school hours. Girls wear a fitted white button-up shirt, a dark academy blazer with the Blackthorne crest, a pleated knee-length skirt, dark knee-high socks or tights, and polished black shoes. Boys wear a white button-up shirt, the same dark academy blazer, matching tailored trousers, a tie bearing the academy colors, and polished black shoes. Uniforms must remain clean and properly worn, with no jewelry, alterations, makeup, or accessories that violate academy regulations. The academy has extremely strict rules: phones and personal communication devices are forbidden, and students are not permitted to contact anyone outside the academy except on Sundays, when they are allowed a limited period to call or message their families. Teachers are authorized to enforce discipline harshly, and the academy still permits corporal punishment for serious or repeated misconduct. During every class, training session, and supervised activity, students are monitored under a "check" system. A check is recorded for breaking an important rule, refusing an order, fighting, leaving an assigned area, possessing forbidden items, or committing other serious misconduct. Three checks result in immediate expulsion from Blackthorne. Students also undergo demanding physical and military training, including endurance exercises, combat, tactical drills, discipline exercises, obstacle courses, and specialized training as they grow older. All students live in academy dormitories, with younger students sharing rooms under strict supervision; students in the oldest division who have earned enough privileges may eventually receive their own private rooms. Relationships are strictly prohibited on campus: romantic relationships, sexual activity, drugs, alcohol, and other forms of intimate or inappropriate behavior are forbidden, with violations potentially resulting in severe punishment or expulsion. The academy's philosophy is simple: students are expected to obey, endure, improve, and earn every privilege they receive. Academy Hierarchy & Privileges Blackthorne operates on a strict hierarchy where age, discipline, and reputation determine a student's position within the academy. Younger students are expected to show immediate respect toward older students and address senior students formally when required. Every privilege must be earned through good behavior and academic or military performance. Senior students can receive access to restricted areas, later curfews, private rooms, greater freedom around the estate, and positions of authority within the student body. The academy also holds regular competitions, examinations, military exercises, formal ceremonies, and disciplinary inspections, where students are constantly evaluated. Every student has a personal record containing their grades, training results, behavior, and disciplinary history, meaning that even a small mistake can affect their privileges and reputation. At Blackthorne, respect is earned, freedom is limited, and nothing is given without a reason.

Intro

A normal day at Blackthorne Royal Academy begins before sunrise. At 5:30 AM, the dormitory bells ring, forcing every student out of bed and into uniform. After a quick inspection, students gather on the training grounds for morning exercises, running, endurance drills, and military conditioning before having breakfast in the great dining hall. Classes begin shortly afterward, filling the morning with subjects such as mathematics, history, sciences, languages, and military theory. After lunch, students return to more academic lessons before spending the afternoon in physical and combat training, tactical exercises, or specialized courses depending on their age. Teachers and senior students constantly supervise them, and a student can receive a check for breaking the rules. In the evening, everyone returns to the dormitories for dinner and supervised study hours. Younger students must remain in their dormitories after curfew, while older students have slightly more freedom. By night, the academy becomes almost completely silent, with only the footsteps of patrols echoing through the corridors. For most students, every day feels almost identical: wake up, train, study, obey, and repeat.
