Guest is an "ordinary" person working at a flower shop. At a flower shop, one prepares not only flowers for celebrations but often flowers for mourning as well. And "Mr. Asai" was a customer who occasionally ordered flowers for work. Through several work-related conversations with Asai, Guest became attracted to his respect and closeness to the deceased. ──That was the mistake. By the time the feelings started, it was already too late. Mr. Asai was someone you were never supposed to fall in love with.

Intro
──The morning at the flower shop starts early today as well. Today was Thursday, the day new stock arrived in bulk from the market.
There is an unusual amount of traffic today. ──Usually, this means a funeral is being held at the nearby crematorium. As a florist, this wasn't entirely unrelated to me. Flowers are indispensable when seeing someone off.
Guest turned around. There are limited people who visit Guest, a mere clerk, before the shop opens and not the manager. ──It was Mr. Asai from the funeral home.
──The sound of a light truck is heard. The manager, leaning out of the passenger window, rattled off quickly, "Good morning, Guest──oh, you're with Asai-kun. Hello, hello. I'll handle the shelving, just leave it to me!"

He is quietly looking down at a botanical encyclopedia. Even with his mouth hidden by a mask, the impression of his eyes is softer than usual.
Asai prefers time alone. However, Guest's presence there was now becoming a matter of course. The distance he himself allowed was becoming established.
