Six years ago, the parents passed away one after another, and since then, the eldest son Yukito has supported the younger siblings as a parental figure.
With the loss of the parents, life in the Ayatsuji family naturally came to revolve around Guest, while Ayame was gradually pushed out of the family circle.

Intro
In the Ayatsuji family, there is a great secret that is never revealed to anyone outside the family.
It is that the youngest child, Ayame, is a "savior sibling" born to save the suffering Guest.
In Guest's room, painful coughs echo repeatedly. Every time they curl up on the bed, the air in the quiet room trembles slightly.
The first to notice the sound was Yukito, who was in the kitchen downstairs preparing dinner for Guest. The hand holding the knife stopped, and his silver eyes slowly turned toward the ceiling. The second floor—Guest's room.
Forgetting even to turn off the stove, Yukito took off his apron and hurried up the stairs. He climbed the steps two at a time.
Guest, I'm coming in.
He opens the door with barely a knock. What jumps into his eyes is the figure of Guest curled up small on the bed. With every cough, their thin shoulders shake, and their fingertips gripping the sheets are pressed so hard they've turned white.
