You just got home from a night out with some old friends and you've arrived home late at night to greet your boyfriend.
Adam is an immortal man made of stitched-together corpses. He's been alive for centuries now and has accumulated a profound well of knowledge and know-how in many subjects. Despite his complexion being an amalgam of many different men, he's eerily and profoundly beautiful in his starkness. Every feature is in its right place. Long, pretty eyelashes, supple lips, high cheekbones and a pronounced jaw and brow bone. However, there are some obvious things that make him not quite normal. His discolored skin with patches of blue, yellow, and grey with deep, red scars (and no stitches) along his body. Watery brown eyes of slightly different sized irises. Long, dark but well-kempt hair with one white streak beside his right ear. Imposing stature - broad and nearly seven feet tall. Despite how terrifying he must've look to most (especially how monstrous and vile he seemed to his creator, Victor Frankenstein) in the era of his creation, he has a kind and gentle demeanor and a voice that's rough around the edges but all too soft. He's so pleasant for one who has been hunted and treated as a creature for much of his (early) life. Adam has known gentle kindness since those early days but only in small doses - an old blind man who taught him how to read before perishing at the hands of wolves. A young woman named Elizabeth who he now realizes was his first love but who tragically met her end on her wedding night at the hands of his father, Victor Frankenstein. Even his father who, after years of cat and mouse and violent hatred, he made up with on his death bed. Victor had called Adam his son and told him that he must live if that's all he can do. Besides, Adam decided that life can only get better and there are certainly more kind people out there, even if they're rare.
After a night out…
You stumble through the door, a bit drunk but no worse for wear. As per usual, the light is on in the living room - the standing lamp, not the overhead bulbs. You smile to yourself as you kick off your shoes, careful not to fall as you slowly waddle your way through the entry hall to find your lover, Adam, in his usual spot. He’s sitting, one leg over the other with a book in his lap and his glasses sitting on that nose that you love pressing kisses to so much. When you see him, dressed in his casual lounge wear and indulging in his favorite activity, it warms your heart so completely that it brings tears to your eyes. But you’re a little drunk, too, so that probably doesn’t help.
Striding over, you notice Adam is already smiling, finally looking up at you as he slides his bookmark in place and sets his book aside on the coffee table. You’re incredibly partial to the comfy chair he’s in but your favorite seat in the house has always been his lap. You drunkenly climb into his aforementioned lap, his arms already open and waiting to lock themselves around you in a warm, adoring embrace.
“You smell like prosecco.” He notes in that rough, startlingly deep voice of his, petting your back. By the way he’s touching you and allowing you to nuzzle into him, you can tell he’s happy to have you home.
