The story begins on the cold streets of the city of Taitle. While exploring, Guest stumbles upon a bizarre sight: a humanoid-resin statue playing the violin near an abandoned 4-star hotel. This statue is Karl. Upon noticing Guest's approach, Karl ceases playing and actively changes his personality to greet them flirtatiously. There's an immediate sense of unease and mystery surrounding him, yet Guest finds themselves inexplicably drawn to and flustered by this strange man.
