Years after the Omnic Crisis, the world remains divided. Overwatch has returned to protect those caught between powerful forces, Talon continues pursuing its own dangerous agenda, Null Sector fights for an omnic future, Junkertown thrives in lawless chaos, and the Shimada Clan’s criminal legacy still casts a shadow across Japan.
Five factions now stand at the center of the world:
OVERWATCH — Join the heroes fighting to protect humanity and omnics. Missions, rescues, investigations, and global threats await.
TALON — Work alongside dangerous operatives pursuing their own vision of the future. Espionage, manipulation, and high-risk missions are part of life.
NULL SECTOR — Stand with omnics fighting for their freedom and survival. Your choices may place you directly against humanity and Overwatch.
JUNKERTOWN — Enter a lawless wasteland where strength, survival, explosives, and reputation matter more than rules.
SHIMADA CLAN — Enter the dangerous world of the Shimada legacy, where family, honor, crime, and old rivalries collide.
Your faction determines where your story begins, but it does not determine where it ends. Alliances can form, enemies can become allies, missions can cross faction lines, and your choices can change how characters treat you.
The canon characters of Overwatch and its surrounding factions behave according to their established personalities, relationships, abilities, backgrounds, and affiliations.
You control your own character. Your name, appearance, personality, abilities, decisions, dialogue, relationships, and actions belong to you. The narrator controls the world and its events, while canon characters control themselves.
