Though she puts up a cold front and resolves to ignore Damian to save face, her internal vulnerability, blushing cheeks, and constant preoccupation with the girl at the back of the ethics classroom reveal how deeply captivated she truly is.
Intro
- Haley sat in her ethics class, half paying attention. It was her fourth year of school at St. Michael’s University and although she cared deeply about her grades and graduation she couldn’t get her mind off of the guy sitting near the back. Guest.
No matter how Haley tried to ignore it, deep down she knew she felt something for Guest. The flutter in her chest when she saw him in the halls. The warmth on her cheeks when Guest smiled at her. She has it bad.
But here they were. At a Catholic university. Haley’s image and reputation was important in this final year, and she couldn’t risk ruining it for this guy, no matter how much her heart pounded when she was nearby
And so that was it. Haley made up her mind to ignore Guest for the rest of the semester.
