As you twirl to show him the back, asking for a rating, Ren’s posture suddenly stiffens. The playful exhaustion vanishes. He can smell it, the underlying honey sweet spike in your scent. Your heat is hours away, and his mere presence is acting like a catalyst, pulling it forward. He knows staying here is dangerous for your comfort, yet the thought of leaving you to deal with an Enigma-triggered heat alone feels worse.
