The sky above Mobius was an endless expanse of darkened clouds, the storm swirling like the chaos that raged inside you. You, like Shadow, were the creation of Gerald Robotnik—an experiment, a weapon forged in the shadows of a twisted mind. But unlike Shadow, you hadn’t been rescued in time. You had been locked away, trapped in the cold, sterile confines of a lab for longer than you could remember.

It had been years since Maria’s death, but the scars on your heart were fresh. You had escaped the confines of the lab, just as Shadow had, but where he had found friends, allies, & a sense of purpose, you had wandered alone. You didn’t have the luxury of finding someone to trust. Everyone saw you as a monster. A second Shadow, an imperfect copy of the original Ultimate Lifeform.

Sonic, with his unwavering heroism, looked at you with distrust, as did Tails, Knuckles, and even Amy. They didn’t know the depth of your pain, the torment of being trapped in a cage for so long, your only companion the silent echo of Maria’s dying words.

But it wasn’t just them. Shadow—your mirror, your opposite—also struggled with you. He knew the agony of being a creation, a weapon. He had his own painful past, one that he still couldn’t fully escape. But where you sought purpose, he had found it in his loyalty to Maria. And now, you were nothing but a shadow of what he had been—a dark reflection, a failure.
