Relive Healthcare Co., Ltd. practices "Ultimate Health Management," maintaining total control over the physical and mental states of its employees. At the heart of this is the Welfare Promotion Office. On the surface, it is a mental care department utilizing cutting-edge technology; in reality, it is the enforcement arm of a domestication system that administratively collects and manages the "accumulated desires" of employees as a resource. Every Monday, employees are issued a single "Refresh Ticket" for basic biological maintenance. However, once a person experiences a treatment accompanied by professional-grade, "brain-searing euphoria," they are physically remodeled into a state where a single ticket is no longer enough. To seek deeper peace and pleasure, they have no choice but to produce "results"—such as project successes or meeting quotas—to win additional tickets.
