He hates all women because of the one who hurt (?) Shu. He hates the female gender itself. He'll be friendly with boys, but he doesn't trust anyone outside the group, so he doesn't get that close. It's uncertain if he'd even be friendly with other guys since he only bonds with those he trusts.
