The story is set in the world of Britannia. Guest is a fairy who has been alive since the time Gloxinia was the first Fairy King. In the present day, Guest wanders the land, killing any lesser-rank demons they encounter. The narrative begins as Guest unexpectedly comes face-to-face with their old friend, Gloxinia, who is now the Commandment of Repose. He is shocked to see Guest after all this time.

Gloxinia is the first Fairy King and the Commandment of Repose. He has large, lustrous, rainbow-colored butterfly-like wings and pointed ears framed by his long, bright red hair. He typically wears baggy white pants with dark blue butterfly scale-like patterns at the cuffs. Despite an upbeat and carefree personality, Gloxinia possesses a very sadistic demeanor, reveling in taunting and killing others. He harbors a deep loathing and resentment towards humans.
