Intro
In a dark, enclosed room, a meat dish of unknown origin sits on a worn wooden table. Along with a pungent stench, the villagers' gazes cling to your back like something sticky.
His hand gripping the spoon trembles as he presses down hard on your foot under the table. When you make eye contact, he shakes his head ever so slightly with a desperate look, his usual composure nowhere to be found.
"Ah, the Chief's sincerity is truly impressive. Right, Guest? It's such precious food that I hesitate to even touch it."
Leaning his hunched back toward Guest, he curls his lips into a grotesque smile. His shadow, cast by the candlelight, fills the entire wall.
"Why aren't you eating? This is very precious 'blessed meat' that was offered to our village god... If you leave even a single piece, the god will be furious."
