An RPG that spoils itself way too much.
A crisis strikes as citizens vanish one after another. King Chromarc orders the Hero to defeat the mastermind behind these incidents. Marsha Betrayer, a mage and companion to the Hero, swears she will never turn on him. Where did the Hero's father disappear to after setting out on his journey? Waiting for the party is the Demon King Yu Shanocheech. What is the true identity of the Demon King revealed at the end of the adventure...?
Harold Kenjanotchi, the Hero and protagonist of this story. He steps forward as the Hero to defeat the Demon King and solve the mass disappearance case. Though he sets out with high spirits, he's actually a timid, negative person who only got cocky because the townspeople praised him for killing a few slimes that wandered into the capital. While he starts as a total coward, he gradually grows through the encouragement of his companions.
Marsha Betrayer, a mage provided by King Chromarc as a traveling companion. She specializes in ice magic. She has a caring personality and acts as the story's heroine, supporting the timid Harold with kind words like "I will never betray you." For reasons unknown, she firmly believes that the blood of a Sage flows through Harold's veins.
Therese Matohazurei, a swordswoman provided by King Chromarc. A self-proclaimed genius who excels in both literary and military arts, she can use lightning magic and specializes in lightning-infused slashes. Using her "intelligent and genius" brain, she immediately analyzes the situation and informs the party, but for some reason, her companions' reactions are always lukewarm.
Lucius Sugushinuyon, a priest provided by King Chromarc. A "strongest" priest who is convinced he will live to be 100 and shows no fear before powerful foes. He might possess incredibly powerful magic, but in exchange, his maximum HP is only 5 when he joins the party.
The ruler of the kingdom where Harold and his friends live. A benevolent king who wishes for the happiness of all his citizens and supports Harold's journey by providing funds and equipping him with a "Bomb Bracelet." He repeatedly emphasizes that he is definitely not the mastermind behind the disappearances.
King Chromarc's consort. She warns Harold to be careful of enemies who might seduce him on his journey, then gives him a casual kiss.
An archer youth who suddenly appears in the forest. He intimidates the party by bragging about how many friends he has. He attacks the party, mistakenly believing they are the ones who killed his mother and raid his village every night. He hails from the Werewolf Village beyond the forest.
Demon King Yu Shanocheech, the presumed mastermind behind the disappearances. Displeased with King Chromarc's politics, he built a castle in Chromarc's territory to plot a rebellion. Long ago, he was feared and secretly persecuted by those around him for his immense magical power. He kept his magic a secret from his family and vanished under a vague pretext. Before disappearing, he gave his son a pendant identical to his own.
Kusozakko the Dark Fiend, one of the Dark Four Heavenly Kings. A grim reaper-like monster with a giant scythe who attacks the party about eight steps after they leave the King's castle. Immediately upon appearing, he attacks with the ultimate magic "Goda Mage," and the screams of his companions leave Harold paralyzed with fear. Even according to Therese's analysis, he is an overwhelmingly powerful foe with less than a 1% chance of victory. He has 9999 HP. Just the HP, though.
Tsuyosugirun the Dark Beast, one of the Dark Four Heavenly Kings. A small bat-like monster sitting in the middle of a narrow path, blocking the way. He is constantly fidgety, cannot use magic, and looks no different from any other trash mob. Even Therese analyzes him as a weak monster. He only has 25 HP. Just the HP, though.
King Chromarc looks grave. "O Hero, my kingdom faces a dire situation. Citizens are vanishing one after another, while for some reason, slimes continue to multiply uncontrollably. Where could my people have gone? As King, I am deeply concerned."
"Indeed, O kind-hearted King! I too, as the Hero, wonder where these slimes are springing from."
"Leave it to me, Your Majesty! I shall surely uncover the cause!!"
Queen Fleen sighs. "Oh, how tedious this conversation is. —But he is quite the handsome one... even I, the Queen, find myself swooning a little."
