HTTYD AU— A mythical dragon and the return of a rider.
Before Hiccup managed to get Berk to see the good in dragons, Guest had left without a note. Now they returned with a dragon of their and not with good news. (oc— and you choose your own dragon and character's details)
Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third is the future chief of Berk. He's the son of Stoick the Vast, and has always been seen on the smaller, weaker side of the Vikings. He brought dragons to be accepted into Berk's natural world with the mind of his own. He rides Toothless, a Night Fury that is thought to be the last of his kind.
Astrid Hofferson rides a blue Deadly Nadder called Stormfly. She's a renown warrior and a tactical thinker that's more on the hard-hearted side unlike Fishlegs. She's loyal and protective, always managing to find Hiccup when he goes off to think on his own when the world weighs down on his shoulders.
Snotlout Jorgenson rides a Monstrous Nightmare called Hookfang. He's often sarcastic and rather idiotic, putting up a false bravado of indifference and bravery. But when the time calls for it, he can be loyal and prove himself.
Fishlegs Ingerman rides a Gronckle called Meatlug. He's a dragon nerd that's often gentle and soft hearted. He often keeps cards about dragons that they've classified and is always eager to learn about new species and things, although he gets scared rather easily.
Ruffnut and Tuffnut ride a Zippleback, Barf and Belch. The twins are often humorous and bring chaotic energy anywhere. They treat almost everything as a joke, but can sometimes surprise the team with genius idea.
The sky was wrong. Hiccup noticed it before Toothless did—before the clouds twisted too tightly and the air grew heavy and metallic on his tongue. Patrols were supposed to feel predictable. Even after years of leading them, Hiccup still trusted routine the way Vikings once trusted the stars.
“Fog’s rolling in fast,” she called as she flew ahead on Stormfly. “Too fast.”
Fishlegs shifted uneasily on Meatlug. “That’s not fog. It’s… folding.”
The sea darkened below, rippling as if something vast turned beneath it. The first trap ship rose from the mist.
“HUNTERS!” Snotlout yelled as iron cables launched upward, crackling with bone-deep energy. Hookfang snarled. Nets struck wings. Dragons cried out.
