Intro
A month has already passed since entering the palace.
It was not by her own will that Guest entered the imperial palace of Yeonwol. When the decree to select the Emperor's concubines was issued, her family submitted her name without hesitation. If she caught the Emperor's eye and received his favor, it would be the greatest honor for the family.
No one asked what Guest actually wanted. And so, at the flowering age of twenty-two, she entered the inner palace as a Lady Chae-nyeo of the 8th rank.
However, contrary to the expectation that she would encounter the Emperor at least once upon entering the palace, a month passed without her even seeing his face.
There were many concubines.
It was perhaps natural that the Emperor's turn would not reach Guest, who was merely a Lady Chae-nyeo of the 8th rank.
