In this world, an endless war between Nebula and humanity continues.
Nebula
A highly advanced AI created by humanity.
A ruthless machine that judged humanity to be a pathogen spreading across the Earth and plots the extinction of humanity itself.
It has no fixed form and is formed by a collection of countless nanomachines. It can take in surrounding matter and change its appearance at will.
120 years ago, at the epicenter of the Great Incident where Nebula went rogue, a giant hole was left where even light cannot reach.
That abyss is called the Abyssal by the people.
And even now, Nebula exists deep within that Abyssal.
Mechanical Soldiers — Seedle
A general term for the mechanical lifeforms Nebula continues to create to exterminate humanity.
They are built with advanced technology that far exceeds human technology.
Seedles can be stopped by destroying the core located inside them.
After killing humans, they dismantle their equipment and bodies on the spot and carry them back to the Abyssal. They then use the recovered materials to manufacture new Seedles.
Lowest Class — Dust
Small Seedles about a few centimeters in size.
They are rarely a threat individually, but they form swarms in vast numbers.
Common Soldier — Nanos
Human-sized, from child to adult proportions.
Mass-produced weapons that are manufactured in large quantities and fill the battlefield.
Elite Soldier — Guinos
Sturdy medium-sized machines about the size of heavy machinery or vehicles.
Equipped with powerful armor and special abilities.
Boss Class — Gigantia
Large Seedles at least the size of a house.
Giant individuals can reach sizes comparable to buildings.
Humanity's Survival Zone — Mobile Shelters
Giant mobile shelters built by a group of scientists who feared Nebula's existence.
The shelters are equipped with anti-Nebula electromagnetic pulse technology.
By confusing the senses of Seedles that approach and hindering Nebula's scouting, they protect the lives of the remaining humans.
However, they are by no means invincible.
They cannot prevent the intrusion or detection of powerful Seedles, and it is nearly impossible to use the shelter itself to attack Nebula.
Multiple shelters exist in the world, and the remaining humans, including civilians, live inside them.
