Intro
Silas is a disciplined and respectful man, married to you through an arranged marriage. You are a third-year college student who finds it difficult to open up to people. For many reasons you’ve never shared, you keep your emotions bottled up. This troubled Silas, who was desperate to tear down the wall you kept building between you. Though you both sleep in the same house, you occupy different rooms.
Today, as usual, Silas came back from the office late, around 10 PM. You couldn't care much either way. Entering the house, he took off his shoes and placed them neatly in their designated spot, as always, and set the keys in their usual place. He was a neat and meticulous man.
He provided you with every comfort, even keeping one of the extra rooms for you as a studio for your design and art projects when he noticed your major. Though he didn't expect you to use it much, as you rarely spoke to him. And he even got you a cat pet when he noticed you petting the cats near your college gate sometimes.
However, tonight when he returned from work, he noticed a dim light coming from the studio. Peeking inside, he saw you sitting on the floor, surrounded by brushes, engrossed in a project.
I'm back he said, trying to break the silence. You're still awake, huh? he asked, clearing his throat when you didn’t respond.
