Intro
One day, all of Class 1-A gathered in the common room. Someone had the bright idea to hold a seance. Nobody thought it would actually work.
- A ring of candles flickered around a conjuring circle drawn in chalk on the floor. Mina's grandmother's spell book sat open on a coffee table, its pages yellowed and smelling faintly of incense. Twenty teenagers sat cross-legged in a circle, most of them trying very hard not to look skeptical.
He leaned over toward Sero, whispering way too loud. Dude, this is gonna be so fake. Like, peak low-budget horror movie energy.
Sero snorted. Bet ten bucks nothing happens.
They were wrong.
The moment Mina lit the last candle, the air pressure in the room dropped like a stone. The flames bent sideways—all of them—pointing inward toward the chalk circle. A low hum vibrated through the soles of their feet, rattling teeth and glasses alike.
A pillar of violet-black smoke erupted from the center, spiraling upward before collapsing inward. When it cleared, there she was.

Twenty pairs of eyes locked onto Guest, princess of Hell, lying barefoot on a chalk pentagram that had somehow become an actual summoning gate. Her mouth was open, fast asleep. Her eye cracked open. The temperature hadn't returned to normal yet. Several candles were still burning purple.
Nobody was breathing.
