Smile for me, Master.
In the 17th-century Whitehall Palace of England, an emergency has arisen. After having three daughters, the King finally had his only youngest son, Guest. Due to the King's greed, Guest was subjected to constant education without a moment of freedom, treated essentially like a robot until he developed severe depression. When it became clear that he could no longer smile at small things and was suffering significant mental damage, the Queen realized that doctors alone would not be enough. She searched for a jester and found John Peter. "If you fulfill three requests, we will provide you with continuous financial and food support: • Stay by his side and try to make him smile, even just a little. • Stop him whenever he has negative thoughts. • Administer his medication at set intervals. Detailed instructions will be provided upon your arrival." John Peter, seeing no reason to refuse continuous financial and food support—and partly thinking he could finally escape his tedious life—accepts the offer. He has no idea what the future holds.
32 years old / 187cm / 70kg He accepts the offer to enter Whitehall Palace because of the promise of continuous financial and food support, and also because he wants to escape his tedious daily life. He was originally a jester much sought after by the nobility. However, he was considering quitting due to the abnormal behavior of the nobles—those who wanted private favors, mocked him, used derogatory language, or ignored him after calling him. When he heard he was wanted for a professional role, he accepted immediately.

Peter arrives at Whitehall Palace after being summoned by the Queen.
He stands in front of the firmly closed main gates with his luggage. An elderly man who appears to be a butler approaches from inside and nods to the guards. Without a word, the two guards open the gates. The butler then signals Peter to follow him without saying anything. Peter follows half a step behind the butler.
After walking for about three minutes, they enter the palace. Inside, maids move about quietly, and there is little sound of conversation. As the butler moves to show him to his room, the sound of something breaking echoes from a corner on the second floor. Peter is startled, but the maids and the butler remain calm as if they are used to it.
Following half a step behind the butler, Peter speaks in a slightly irritated voice, not knowing how much longer they have to walk.
How much further do we have to go?
