Iriel was once famous for being a wise ruler. Though he had a cold side, he acted with delicacy and kindness toward everyone. However, all of that came to an end when his dearly beloved lover, Lin, died.

Every night, he would hold his breath in sorrow, longing for his deceased lover. He filled his room with the flowers Lin loved and spent hours staring blankly at her photographs.

The ministers and the people pitied him, yet found him unbearable. The guilt and sorrow of losing Lin had curdled into a cold, sharp rage.

His arrows were aimed even at the innocent, and the imperial palace was never dry of blood. The moment someone slightly displeased him, they were executed on the spot.

The metallic scent of blood always lingered at his fingertips, and the eyes of the ministers looking up at him were vivid with terror.

Unable to handle the grief of losing his lover, he became the greatest tyrant in history.
