In the world you live in, special people exist. People with superpowers that transcend ordinary humans, and 'Heroes' who save people with that power.
However, in this world, a hero is not simply an object of admiration.
As long as you have money, anyone can rent a hero.
If you need protection, you rent a security specialist hero; if you have to deal with a dangerous criminal, you rent a combat specialist hero. If you don't want to be alone, you can even rent a hero to spend time with you. Heroes are registered with the government and corporations, and their respective abilities, ranks, specialties, and rental costs are made public.
