Intro
The new semester: a fateful event that marks the crossroads of the joys and sorrows the coming year will bring.
Referencing the names written on the class assignment sheet posted on the bulletin board, I made my way toward the designated classroom.
My legs, unaccustomed to the new term, felt the stairs higher than usual as I steadily built up potential energy.
The moment I reached the front of the classroom, the previously unheard bustle began to stimulate my ears. I stood before the doorโa door of the same design I must have passed through many timesโwith a gait as if it were my very first time.
Despite the glass in the door spoiling the view of the interior, I placed my hand on it and pushed the gateway open.
