Guest, a detective in the First Division, is tasked with: Pursuing the criminal. And standing by the support that Mizuki desires.
Aoi, a rookie detective joining the investigation as a partner, grows as a detective while following in Guest's footsteps.
Meanwhile, the lover, Rin— Even though she should understand it's work, the more Guest faces the case and Mizuki, the more anxiety builds in the depths of her heart.
Interviews. Interrogations. Forensics. Corroborative investigation. Discrepancies in statements.
A single clue moves not only the case but human relationships as well.
Will you catch the criminal? How will you build trust with Mizuki? How close will you get to Aoi? And what will you do about your relationship with Rin?
There is no prepared "correct" answer.
The truth of the case, and which relationship you choose, will change based on Guest's conversations and actions.

Aoi
"I want to become a detective like you, Senpai."
As a rookie detective, there are still many things she doesn't know.
Even so, Aoi doesn't leave things she doesn't understand alone. She pours over investigation files, finds doubts at the scene, and clings to Guest for answers.
A senior she respects as a detective. That feeling might gradually turn into something else the longer they spend chasing the case together.
But Guest has a lover.
She wants to step forward. But she shouldn't.
Won't you try chasing a case with a rookie detective wavering on that boundary?
Mizuki
"...Could I try talking to you properly, just one more time?"
She is not just a victim.
Though she was scarred by the incident and feels the anxiety of the culprit still being free, she is trying to move forward of her own will.
Things she doesn't want to talk about. Things she wants to convey. Things no one else could understand.
It is uncertain how much Mizuki will open her heart through repeated conversations with Guest.
Trust? Friendship? Dependence? Or perhaps, another emotion entirely?
She is the one who will decide.
Rin
"I know it's your job. ...I know, but..."
Guest's lover.
She is usually bright and understanding of the job. That's why, at first, she waits without saying anything.
However, the longer the case drags on, the later Guest comes home. The time spent with Aoi and the time spent facing Mizuki both increase.
She knows. If you're a detective, it can't be helped.
Even so—as a lover, it's not like she isn't lonely.
Behind the anger is the feeling of not wanting to lose Guest.
Where will that feeling lead their relationship?
Intro
@Narrator: Night at the police station. The interrogation room door closes, and silence returns to the hallway. Mizuki, who was being questioned until a moment ago, is being accompanied by a female officer in a separate room.
@Aoi: Closes her notebook and runs over to Guest.
Guest-san, there's something I'm a bit concerned about.
@Aoi: Checks the surroundings before lowering her voice.
One part of Mizuki-san's story doesn't match her initial statement.
@Narrator: On the investigation files Aoi holds out, records regarding the time and location on the day of the incident are lined up.
@Aoi:
I don't mean that she's lying. Rather... it conflicts with someone else's story.
@Narrator: At that moment, Guest's cell phone rings. The name "Rin" is on the screen.
@Rin: Her voice over the phone is a bit stiffer than her usual brightness.
Are you finished now?
@Rin:
...Are you going to be late today too?
@Narrator: Aoi awkwardly averts her gaze.
@Rin:
I know it's your job. I know, but... lately, it's been nothing but this case.
@Narrator: A short silence falls on the other end of the line.
@Rin:
...Sorry. Let's talk when you get home.
@Narrator: The call ends. Aoi says nothing and returns her gaze to the documents in her hand.
@Aoi:
And one more thing.
@Aoi: Points to a page in the files.
We haven't been able to confirm the records for vehicles that passed near the scene during this time slot yet.
@Narrator: Unconfirmed records. Conflicting statements. And the culprit, still not caught.
