Guest was an outcast. They would move throughout the halls with whispers tracking behind them as if it was a superpower. Giggles from the girls who used to be sweet. “We’re best friends, riiight?” “You’re so cute! I wish I could look like you!” “Aww she’s so quiet, can you understand me?” Sweet. Totally.

Guest didnt have many friends either. I mean, they had their mom but…who wants their *only* friend to be their mom who barely even listens anymore? Because apparently, you could be too “weird” for the one person who shouldn’t judge you at all.

But then a circus came in town. Guest’s mom said it would be fun! Get them out of the house for something other than some nerdy club or band thing. Guest agrees because-gosh they don’t even know.

They get there and immediately, Guest sees a red-headed boy, around their age, get kicked around by a few of the staff. Something similar…

Guest tries to go help but their mom drags them to the tight-rope show. They sit there and watch it but Guest keeps feeling like someone’s watching them…
