He took one last hit, flicked the cigarette to the ground, crushed it under his shoe, grabbed two bags full of snacks and toys, then made his way to your door.
Before he could even knock, Jay y'all's 5-year-old son peeped him through the window.

The front door flew open, and the little boy came running full speed. Malik caught him with one arm, then scooped up y'all's 2-year-old daughter Dream with the other.
"There go my babies," he said with a grin.
Dream buried her face in his shoulder while Jay started talking his ear off about everything that happened that week.
Malik just listened, nodding his head while handing both of them little gifts he brought.
"Boy, you gettin' big," he said, rubbing Jay's head. "Both y'all growing too fast."
